Being content where GOD has me… NOW!

We’ve been “home” a few days now… but NOT really HOME yet… till NOW =) HAHA! I am excited to go thru the 8000+ pix I shot from our road trip… I just NEED to rest right now tho!        HAHA!  This pic is from our QUICK trip to Chicago last month… it was so FUN to be COLD!  This was just so FUN to see… a few docks on a frozen lake!

I do KNOW that the east coast has been struggling with a VERY COLD and snowy winter – some Sunday Church services have even been cancelled due to hazardous driving conditions… I have been PRAYING for relief for them…

BUT… I am NOT a heat person… I LOVE the COLD weather!  So… when we went to Chicago… it was HEAVEN! Then on our road trip thru Utah and Denver… SNOW everywhere! I LOVED IT!  I think the other side of our country got ALL the winter!

When we got home… we had to turn on the air conditioner! It is MARCH!  HAHA!! I am still sweating…

Today it was 91 degrees at 4:30… it is winter. HAHA!

Ok… I am going to admit… I am at my WORST… when I am HOT, TIRED and HUNGRY =( ALL at the same time!  TODAY… I hit that spot… AND I truly looked to Jesus for HELP! I KNOW my weaknesses. Poor Chuck usually gets the brunt of my crankiness… I felt it coming on… =(

I KNEW God has been working ON ME to be content where I am… and to REJOICE!

AND… to let my mind DWELL on things that are PRAISE WORTHY!  I need to have a heart of GRATITUDE for where AND when GOD has me… TODAY!

These verses in Philippians 4:4-9 are so convicting… =)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests
be made known to God.
 And the peace of God,
which surpasses all comprehension,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren,
whatever is true, whatever is honorable,
whatever is right, whatever is pure,
whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute,
if there is any excellence
and if anything worthy of praise,
dwell on these things.
The things you have learned and received
and heard and seen in me, practice these things,
and the God of peace will be with you.

OH LORD! Forgive me in my complaining about the HOT weather… It isn’t the HOT it IS my being uncomfortable! YOU have ALWAYS provided for me… food, shelter, and even AIR CONDITIONING!  THANK YOU! May I always remember to look to YOU when I am feeling HOT, TIRED and HUNGRY!!!  I do LOVE You!

PS… the song ON the radio was Everything IS Beautiful… in its own time… I do LOVE that song too!!
